Hello. I am a 36 yr old mother with 4 children.
The oldest is 20 out she is lving on her own now. I have a 16 yr old boy with Bipolar and ADHD. My 9 yr old son also has ADHD. my 5 yr old daughter was born with bilateral hip dysplasia. She came home a newborn is a body harness, then a brace and had 5 full body casts and 4 surgeries before she was 6 months old. This past April she had femoral ostotomies on both sides. Thats where they went in and cut the bones completely in half then put them back together with metal plaes and screws. My baby was unable to sit up or walk for a while. then she used a wheelchair, then a walker. She can now walk and dance. The metal plates and screws should be removed after April, and we're hoping this is the last surgery she will need. She is on brave and amazing girl.
During all of this is April, my 37 yr old husband went into congestive heart failure. Only 30% of his heart is working. They put in a defibrillator/pacemaker. They said he could be dead or need a heart transplant by the age of 40. In fact he was in one hospital while my daughter was in another. He was unable to come to be with us, the doctors said if he got stressed or upset at all, he could just die right on the spot.
This was a very terrifying time for all of us. I was so scared and trying to handle it all on my own. We also do not have insurance.
I have had back issues and been unable to work for many years. An MRI showed multi-level disc damage, a severe nerve root compression and also a herniated disc.
My husband missed a lot of time from work. We got so far behind in our bills. We ended up having to more, our furniture got reposessed. The hospital bills are well over $100,000. Just for his one stay. There were months we couldnt even get his $4 generic heart medicine.
We don't have a running car to get to all the doctor appointments we all have. We have all missed quite a few. The headgasket went in our old car.
With all of this going on, I'm really concerned about Christmas for my children. If anyone knows where I can get some help, I would really appreciate it.
Thank you,
Angie
